GOMPERS, William J., a Representative from Cambria County; born in Indiana, Indiana County, Pa., November 14, 1862; weigh master, borough scales; employed, Adams Express Company (3 years); employed, Pennsylvania Railroad Company; presidential appointee, railway mail clerk (20 years); employed, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (1 year); employed, Cambria Steel Company; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1915 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1917 term; died, January 6, 1924 in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
