GILBERT, Elias H., a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Colebrookdale Township, Berks County, Pa., February 10, 1861; attended, Perkiomen Seminary; teacher (3 terms); mercantilist (4 years); deputy treasurer, Montgomery County (3 years); proprietor, Merchant Hotel; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1907 and 1909 terms; resigned from the House, February 17, 1910; elected, justice of the peace, Pottstown; secretary, Montgomery County Board of Health; died, October 12, 1935 in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Pottstown Cemetery, Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
