GIBSON, Joseph C., a Representative from Mercer County; born in Frankstown Township, Blair County, Pa., May 20, 1837; farmer; weigh boss, paymaster and bookkeeper, various coal mines; elected, school director; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1901 term and served 1 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1903 term; died, January 27, 1906 in Hickory Corners, Mercer County, Pennsylvania; interred, Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
