GEARHART, Peter J., a representative from Clearfield County; born, February 25, 1857 in Decatur Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; educated in public schools; lumberman; dairy farmer; director, Citizens National Bank of Curwensville; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1906; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1908); died, April 3, 1930 in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; interred, Centre Cemetery, Hyde, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
