FOW, John Henry, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 23, 1851 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; lawyer (1878-1915); member, Democratic State Committee of Pennsylvania (1882-1883); elected, city council, Philadelphia (1885-1888); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1889, 1891, 1893, 1895, 1897, and 1899 terms; appointed, chair, Quay Senatorial Investigating Committee (1889-1890); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1900); special correspondent, Philadelphia Star; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election, January  9, 1906; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1907 term; counsel, city commissioners, Philadelphia; died, August 31, 1915 in Spring Lake, Monmouth County, New Jersey; interred, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
