FISHER, John Thomas, a Representative from Northumberland County; born in Allenwood, Union County, Pa., January 21, 1854; blacksmith; mail clerk, Pennsylvania Railroad (1885-1888, chief mail clerk, 1888-1889); operator, mercantile business; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1900; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1902); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1913-1914); died while in office of the Senate, January 16, 1914 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Shamokin Cemetery, Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
