FINNERTY, Thomas, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Honesdale, Wayne County, Pa., January 25, 1872; stationary engineer, Lehigh & Wilkes-Barre Coal Co.; manager, The Sente Hotel, Wilkes-Barre; detective, Wilkes-Barre Police (1911-1924); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1914; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1916, 1918); died, June 27, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Mary's Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
