DUNN, James Joseph, a Representative from Cambria County; born, October 24, 1864 in County Offaly, Ireland; attended, St. Cuthbert’s High School; four-minute man, World War I; employed, cotton factory; coal miner; clerk, mercantile store; hotel proprietor; engaged in the building and contracting businesses; elected, council, borough of Lilly (3 years); elected, justice of the peace, Jackson Township (7 years); elected, justice of the peace, Nanty Glo (3 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1909 term and reelected to serve the following term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1911 term; director, Miners’ and Merchants’ Bank of Nanty Glo; died, December 9, 1934 in Nanty Glo, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
