DRAKE, George Brent, a Representative from Greene County; born in Ryerson Station, Greene County, Pa., July 2, 1873; graduated, Waynesburg College, 1898; sergeant, Company K, 10th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1898-1899, Spanish-American War); captain of Calvary, Troop B, Pennsylvania Reserve Militia (World War I); attorney; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1917 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1919 term; elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1924); died, January 21, 1934 in Aspinwall, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
