DIEHM, George Graybill, a Representative from Lancaster County; born in Elm, Lancaster County, Pa., September 17, 1880; attended, Millersville State Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); teacher; secretary, treasurer, and general manager, Keystone Underwear Company; notary public; elected, burgess, Lititz (1918-1919); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1919 term; reelected to serve 4 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1928); elected, commissioner, Lancaster County (1928-1949); chair, Lancaster County Republican Committee (1930-1958); elected, delegate, Republican National Conventions (1944, 1948, 1952); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1949-1956); died, March 19, 1970 in Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Graybill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Elm, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
