BASTIAN, Bob, a Representative from Bedford and Somerset Counties; born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pa., October 21, 1938; graduated, Williamsport Senior High School, 1956; graduated, The Pennsylvania State University, 1959; D.V.M., Cornell University Veterinary School, 1963; captain, United States Air Force (1966-1968); veterinarian; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1996); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1999 term; reelected to serve 4 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee (2005-2008); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 2009 term; died, July 13, 2019 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
