DEMPSEY, Dominick F., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa., May 13, 1874; coal miner; leader, United Mine Workers Union; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1907 and 1909 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1910 General election; sales manager, International Correspondence Schools; engaged, oil business; died, October 9, 1925 in Ridley Park, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Dunmore Catholic Cemetery, Dunmore, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
