DAVIS, David F., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Taylor, Lackawanna County, Pa., July 22, 1887; graduated, Taylor High School, 1909; attended, Wyoming Seminary; graduated, Mansfield Normal School (now Mansfield University of Pennsylvania), 1918; graduated, Susquehanna University, 1925; coal miner; teacher; elected, auditor, Taylor (1909-1913); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1914, 1916 and 1918; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1920, 1922, 1930); died July 5, 1960 in Milford, Pike County, Pennsylvania; interred, Stroudsburg Cemetery, Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
