CRUM, John Alonzo, a Representative from Venango County; born in Mahoning, Armstrong County, Pa., February 15, 1856; served, Company D, 16th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (1877-1886); house painter; enumerator, United States Census (1880, 1890); Assistant Door Keeper, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1885); superintendent, South Side Postal Station, United States Postal Service (1891-1893); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1910; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1912); died, April 23, 1917 in Oil CIty, Venango County, Pennsylvania; interred, Grove Hill Cemetery, Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
