CRIBBS, Hyatt M., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 12, 1865 in Wattersonville, Armstrong County, Pa.; attended, Duff’s Business College; locomotive fireman, Baltimore & Allegheny Valley Railroad; engaged, lumber and hardware business; member, Allegheny County Republican Committee; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Verona, Pa. (1889-1893); elected, council, Verona (12 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1907 and 1909 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1911 term; engaged in real estate and the insurance business; unsuccessful election, Pennsylvania State Senate (1914); elected, controller, Allegheny County (1 year); died, April 11, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
