CRAVEN, Frank, a Representative from Washington County; born, July 25, 1857 in California, Washington County, Pa.; employed, railway mail service; engaged in the mercantile business; superintendent of buildings and grounds, Southwestern Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, California), (1893-1913); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1904 and 1906; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1908); employed, Pittsburgh Life and Trust Company (1913-1916); auditor and investigator, bureau of accounts and expenditures, Pennsylvania Auditor General’s Department (1917-1920); died, October 14, 1920 in Paxtang Borough, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, California, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
