CORAY, Elisha A., Jr., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Monroeville, Bradford County, Pa., September 6, 1858; graduated, Keystone Academy, Factoryville; employed, Pittston Press (1878-1879); printer, solicitor and reporter, Pittston Gazette (1880-1888); realtor (1903-1941); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1889 and 1891 terms; reelected to the House to serve the 1897, 1899 and 1901 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892, 1902); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1901); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Secretary of Internal Affairs (1906); unsuccessful campaign, controller, Luzerne County (1907); minister; died, July 31, 1941 in West Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Forty Fort Cemetery, Forty Fort, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
