CONNIFF, Augustine Patrick, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Plains, Luzerne County, Pa., January 12, 1879; B.A., Holy Cross College, 1902; lyricist, Alma Mater, Holy Cross College (1902); lawyer; solicitor, Plains Township commissioners; solicitor, Plains Township school board; solicitor, Larksville school district; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1912; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1914); appointed, Workmen’s Compensation referee, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry (1935-1939); died, March 27, 1948 in Washington, District of Columbia; interred, Saint Marys Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
