CHEESEMAN, Samuel Lewis, a Representative from Butler County; born, December 23, 1857 in Portersville, Butler County, Pa.; graduated, Grove City Academy; graduated, Slippery Rock State Normal School (now Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania), 1891; teacher; farmer; superintendent of Butler County public schools (1896-1899); business owner; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1913 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1915 term; died, September 19, 1942 in Slippery Rock, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, Slippery Rock Cemetery, Slippery Rock, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
