CHAPLIN, Isaac M., a Representative from Cambria County; born in Flinton, Cambria County, Pa., December 21, 1888; graduated, Reade Township High School, 1907; employed in boiler room and open hearth steel department, Cambria Steel Company; president, Crystal Oil and Gas Company; director, People’s State Bank; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1921 and 1923 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1925 term; died, January 18, 1960 in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Utahville Cemetery, Coalport, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
