(1889-1890); elected, Sheriff, Tioga County (1894-1902); elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1896); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1901 and 1903 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1905 term; died, June 24, 1937 in Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania; interred, Wellsboro Cemetery, Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
