Calder, Howard Lincoln, a Representative from Dauphin County; born in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pa., June 16, 1864; graduated, Harrisburg High School, 1883; graduated, Bucknell College, 1887; captain, Company I, 4th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Pennsylvania National Guard (1884-1901; acting Provost Marshal of Army at Arroyo, Puerto Rico, Spanish-American War, 1898); judge advocate general’s corps, Pennsylvania National Guard; lawyer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1900; died while in office, April 29, 1901 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Harrisburg Cemetery, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
