BURNS, Robert, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, March 22, 1846 in Lurgan, County Armagh, Ireland; attended, Episcopal Church School, Lurgan; soap and candle maker; carpet weaver; horseman and foreman, Philadelphia Fire Department (1873-1894); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as Republican in 1906 and 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910).
