BROWN, Thomas, a Representative from Clarion County; born, January 27, 1850 in Ireland; store manager; building contractor; operator, Edenburg Water Works (1877-1880); coal mine operator; elected, school board (12 years); elected, council, Stonesboro; elected, justice of the peace, Stonesboro (9 years); member, Clarion County Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1898, 1900 and 1906; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1902, 1908); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1904, 1914); appointed, road supervisor, Clarion County; died, July 28, 1936 in Knox, Clarion County, Pennsylvania; interred, Knox Union Cemetery, Knox, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
