BRICKER, William H., a Representative from Beaver County; born in West Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pa., August 6, 1837; lieutenant, Company H and Company B, 3rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Calvary (1861-1865, Civil War: prisoner of war, August 22, 1863-January 25, 1865); farmer; appointed, United States storekeeper (1870-1875); engaged in the book, stationary, and news business (1876-1902); elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1881, 1894); elected, register and recorder, Beaver County (1884-1890); engaged in the real estate and fire insurance business; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1898 and 1900; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1902); appointed, factory inspector, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry (1903-1906); died, April 26, 1910 in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia.
