October 22, 1878 near Ligonier, Westmoreland County, Pa.; attended, business college; worked in retail; clerk, United States Postal Service; agent and operator, Pennsylvania Railroad Company (3 years); manager and owner of a shoe store; elected, school board, Scottdale; Sanitary Inspector, Pennsylvania Department of Health; member, Republican County Committee; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1906 and 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1908, 1912); chair, Local Draft Board No. 7 of Westmoreland County (World War I); elected, commissioner, Westmoreland County (1915-1923); Secretary of Property and Supplies, Pennsylvania Department of General Services (1923-1927); died, December 11, 1927 in Scottdale, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Scottdale Cemetery, Scottdale, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
