BOWMAN, William Clarence, a Representative from Cumberland County; born in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pa., October 8, 1872; graduated, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania), 1890; public school teacher, Wormleysburg (2 years); school principal, Lemoyne (22 years); employed, real estate and insurance business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1919 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1921 term; assistant secretary, Office of the Board of Game Commissioners, Pennsylvania State Game Commission (1921-1922); elected, council, Lemoyne (2 terms); died, February 1, 1961 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Camp Hill Cemetery, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
