BIGLER, John F., a Representative from Mercer County; born in Barkeyville, Venango County, Pa., November 16, 1862; B.A., Grove City College; attended, Harvard University; attended, University of Pennsylvania; teacher, Barkeyville Academy; principal, Barkeyville Academy (2 years); superintendent of schools, Venango County; principal, Edinboro State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro), (1900-1911); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1919 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1921 term; principal, Braddock High School; died, February 23, 1928 in Kingston, Lenoir County, North Carolina; interred, Mt. Royal Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
