BETTS, William Haley, a Representative from Clearfield County; born in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pa., June 29, 1888; brick, stone and concrete contractor; employed, Works Progress Administration, United States Federal Government; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1923 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1925 term; superintendent of highways, Clearfield County (1936-1938); died, January 3, 1966; interred, Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
