(1906-1920); engaged in mercantile and lumber manufacturing (1920-1969); farmer (1938-1969); elected, school board, Wells Township; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1927 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1928 General election; superintendent, highway department, Fulton County; died, March 19, 1969 in McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Wells Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wells Tannery, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
