BARTMAN, John H., a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Collegeville, Montgomery County, Pa., January 2, 1863; attended, Washington Institute, Trappe; attended, West Chester Normal School (now West Chester University of Pennsylvania); school teacher; employed, Phoenix Iron Company; engaged in the grocery business; tax collector, Collegeville; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1908 and 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1912); manager, Montgomery County Home (8 years); died, August 31, 1941 in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Zion Cemetery and Mausoleum, North Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
