BARNHART, Victor Albertus, a Representative from Butler County; born in Antrim Township, Franklin County, Pa., May 25, 1878; graduated, Greencastle High School, 1896; graduated, Mercersburg Academy, 1898; graduated, Franklin and Marshall College, 1902; teacher; Newton High School and Butler High School (1902-1906); principal, Evans City schools (1907); insurance agent, secretary and treasurer, United States Annuity Society, Pittsburgh; employed, offices of auditor and tax collector, Evansburg Borough; elected, justice of the peace, Evansburg; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1918; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1920); died, March 10, 1956 in Zelienople, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evans City Cemetery, Evans City, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
