BALDWIN, George Augustus, a Representative from Beaver County; born in Oil City, Venango County, Pa., December 12, 1874; graduated, Rochester High School, 1893; graduated, Geneva College, 1897; attended, law, Western University of Pennsylvania (now University of Pittsburgh); employed in the printing trade; attorney (1901-1953); solicitor, Rochester borough; secretary, Beaver County Republican Committee (1902-1903); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1910; reelected to the House in 1912 as a member of the Washington Party; elected, Majority Leader (1913-1914); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); elected, judge, Beaver County (1916-1925); died, February 20, 1964 in Zelienople, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, Monaca, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
