AMMERMAN, Robert Scott, a Representative from Montour County; born in Danville, Montour County, Pa., August 5, 1869; graduated, Danville High School, 1886; graduated, University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1891; served, sergeant, Company F, 12th Regiment, 3rd Brigade, Pennsylvania National Guard (1884-1891); lawyer; elected, solicitor, Danville (1891-1895, 1898-1900); elected, District Attorney, Montour County (1894-1900); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1900, 1904); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1903 term and served 3 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1910); director, Farmers’ National Bank of  Exchange, Montour County; died, May 31, 1923 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania; interred, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania.
