Anson, a Representative from Bedford County; born, Alum Bank, Bedford County, Pa., April 6, 1870; graduated, Central State Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania), 1889; served, United States Military (World War I); teacher; principal, Hopewell schools (1 year); principal, Schellsburg schools (9 years); conductor, summer Normal School for teachers, Schellsburg; Superintendent of Schools, Bedford County (3 terms); cashier, Hartley Banking Company; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1922; served 6 consecutive terms; died while in office, August 28, 1934 in Bedford, Bedford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bedford Cemetery, Bedford, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
