WINNER, Edwin McNair, Sr., a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Hatboro, Montgomery County, Pa., April 10, 1900; attended, Hatboro High School; engaged in the retail lumber and coal business; director, Hatboro National Bank and Hatboro Loan and Building Association; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election on April 15, 1935 to serve the remainder of the 1935 term; reelected to the House to serve 4 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1939-1940, 1943); resigned from the House, November 29, 1943; elected, treasurer, Montgomery County (1944-1948); insurance agent; appointed, State Board of Tax Equalization; appointed, Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (1966-1976; chair, 1972-1976); died, November 1, 1983 in Rushland, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hatboro Cemetery, Hatboro, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
