WHEELER, Alexander Royal, a Representative from Forest County; born in Tidioute, Warren County, Pa., July 10, 1889; graduated, Yale University, 1911; M.A., Oxford University; attended, University of Berlin; served, French Red Cross (1915-1916); major, United States Army (1917-1919, World War I); served, Czech-Hungarian Armistice Mission (1919); engaged in lumber business; member, Pennsylvania State Park and Harbor Commission of Erie (1923); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1923 term and reelected for 6 consecutive terms thereafter; member, Pennsylvania Tax Commission (1924); died while in office, November 27, 1935 in Pennsylvania; interred, Tidioute Cemetery, Tidioute, Warren County, Pennsylvania.
