WEISS, David Harold, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, August 3, 1905 in Czechoslovakia; attended, Monessen High School; A.B., University of Michigan; LL.B., University of Pittsburgh; lawyer; elected, president, Monessen School Board; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in a Special Election on February 23, 1937; Sworn-In, March 1, 1937 to serve the remaining 1937 term; reelected to serve 6 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint State Government Commission: Subcommittee on Municipal Authorities (1945-1946); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1950); Assistant District Attorney, Westmoreland County; appointed, city solicitor, Monessen; appointed then elected, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Westmoreland County (1957-1977; president judge, 1964-1977); died, December 7, 1979 in Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida; interred, Kneseth Israel Congregation Cemetery, Monessen, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
