VOGT, Joseph H., a Representative from Pike County; born in Shohola, Pike County, Pa., January 18, 1881; proprietor, Vogt's Garage, sales and service (1914-1954); unsuccessful candidate, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (Special Election, 1935); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936) and the 1941 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1939 and 1943 terms; school director, Shohola Township School District; died, November 30, 1977 in Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; interred, German Hill Cemetery, Shohola, Pike County, Pennsylvania.
