VAN BELLE, Thomas Benedict, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 9, 1903 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, Cathedral Parochial School; attended, John Wannamaker Commercial Institute; estimator (1919-1923); mechanic and salesman (1923-1927), superintendent (1927-1930), Bonded Floors Company; vice president, W. Frank Coleman, Inc. (1930-1932); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1939 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1941 term; United States Patent holder, carpet laying method (1950); died, May of 1963 in New Jersey; interred, Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, Camden County, New Jersey.
