TUMELTY, Leo Vincent, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, September 30, 1892 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, Central High School; sergeant, 302nd Center Tank Corps, American Expeditionary Forces, United States Army (World War I); engaged in insurance business; secretary, Democratic City Committee (1930-1932); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1935 and 1937 terms; appointed, Commission to Study Aviation Facilities (1937-1938); appointed, Joint Legislative Committee to Investigate Governmental Costs in Philadelphia (1937-1938); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1939 term; employed, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County; died in September of 1978.
