THOMAS, William John, a Representative from Lackawanna County; born, July 30, 1870 in Rhymney, Monmouthshire, South Wales; coal miner; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1904 and 1908; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1906); elected, select council, Scranton (1906-1908); not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1910 General election; died, November 5, 1958 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Washburn Street Cemetery, Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
