THISTLE, Raymond A., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, October 30, 1897 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, Philadelphia Textile School; sergeant, 321st Supply Train, United States Army (World War I); real estate and insurance broker; real estate appraiser; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1939 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1941 term; died, June 28, 1962 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
