SWARTZ, Edward S., a Representative from Dauphin County; born, Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pa., on May 13, 1910; attended, American Institute of Banking, night school (1929-1931); employed, Marcus Hook National Bank (1929-1931); proprietor, Swartz Service & Electric Company; owner and operator, Indian Echo Caverns; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representative for the 1951 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1964); unsuccessful Constitutional Party candidate, Pennsylvania Governor (1965); died, February 15, 2002; interred, Stoverdale United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hummelstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
