STEVENSON, Hugh M., a Representative from Mercer County; born near Bruin, Butler County, Pa., March 25, 1877; coal miner; teacher; elected, justice of the peace (1912); Methodist minister; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1929, 1931 and 1933 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1935 term; unsuccessful Prohibition Party candidate, Pennsylvania State Senate (1934); died, October 25, 1965 in Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania; interred at West Sunbury Cemetery, West Sunbury, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
