STEEDLE, Dr. Joseph G., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, March 10, 1880 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.; attended, Curry’s College; M.D., Western University of Pennsylvania (now University of Pittsburgh), 1902; intern, Western Pennsylvania Hospital (1902); intern, City Hospital, Marshalsea, Pa.; physician; surgeon, Ohio Valley General Hospital; elected, burgess, McKees Rocks (1909-1914); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican to serve the 1913 term; reelected to 9 nonconsecutive terms thereafter (1915-1924 and 1927-1934); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1925 and 1935 terms; died, March 8, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Mary's Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
