SPANGLER, Edwin R., a Representative from Lancaster County; born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pa., April 21, 1893; graduated, Ephrata High School, 1910; Doctor of Pharmacy, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, 1914; attended, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; sergeant, first class, 26th Engineers and Water Purification Corps, United States Army (World War I); pharmacist (25 years); elected, Lancaster County Republican Committee (4 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1935 term; died while in office, October 15, 1935 in Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bowman’s Cemetery, Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
