SHOTWELL, John S., a Representative from Monroe County; born in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pa., March 2, 1899; attended, Peirce College; attended, Temple University; served, American Expeditionary Forces, United States Army (1917-1918, World War I); owner and operator, lumber and building supply business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1951and 1953 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1955 term; died, November 14, 1976 in Holly Hill, Volusia County, Florida; interred, Shady Rest Cemetery, Holly Hill, Volusia County, Florida.
