SCOTT, John Green, a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in Buck Mountain, Schuylkill County, Pa., November 15, 1888; attended, Pennsylvania School of Industrial Art; commercial artist; superintendent, Coaldale State Hospital (17 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1925 term; reelected to serve 4 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1934); died, March 5, 1975 in Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
