SCHROPE, Edgar Allen, a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in Hegins, Schuylkill County, Pa., November 25, 1889; graduated, Hegins Township High School (now Tri-Valley High School); graduated, Keystone State Teachers College (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania); served, United States Army (1919, World War I); teacher; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1933 term and served 3 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1941 term; died, November 13, 1967 in Hegins, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Friedens Union Cemetery, Hegins, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
